Why This Website Exists
Welcome.
For years, I have wanted a place to share my experiences, interests, observations, and life lessons. This website fulfils that ambition.
It brings together stories, photographs, memories, ideas, and projects about my life, technology, history, and experiences as a wheelchair user.
A central theme is my journey through life using a wheelchair. I have witnessed major changes in mobility equipment, accessibility, transport, communication, and public attitudes. The world is very different from the one I knew growing up, and those experiences deserve to be recorded.
I will also reflect on the people, events, technologies, challenges, achievements, and surprises that have shaped my life. Some articles will be practical or historical; others will offer personal observations.
This is not a tell-all account or a place to revisit grievances. I aim to write honestly and respectfully while protecting the privacy and dignity of others.
Memories fade and stories are lost. This website preserves some of mine while I can still tell them. It is a living autobiography—a growing collection of connected stories, photographs, experiences, and reflections.
If you find something useful, interesting, or thought-provoking here, the effort will have been worthwhile.
Thank you for visiting and joining me on the journey.
